A and I stayed at the Iloilo Business Hotel in Smallville. Nothing fancy but it has everything that you need; clean and functional rooms, a good-sized bathroom, an LCD TV, a buffet breakfast with a fair selection of breakfast fares, friendly and helpful staff, wifi and most importantly, reasonably priced. If you’re into nightlife, then it’s your best choice as its located right smack in the middle of Iloilo’s prime spot for nightlife. But it’s a bad idea for light sleepers because of the noise coming from the bars and restaurants surrounding the hotel. We liked our stay in Iloilo Business Hotel and we would definitely stay there again.
Decided to explore Iloilo for a day and we were able to cover a few touristy sites. We arrived at the Museo Iloilo at noon and as expected, the museum was closed. Oh well, the facade’s pretty good enough for a photo shoot so it’s okay.
Iloilo has a lot of really old houses, some were converted into commercial establishments and some were just left deteriorating. I suddenly thought of Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar and I can hear one of the old mansions shout, “Iloilo represent!”. Naughty, I know. Sorry, I couldn’t help it. Hehe.
